TRAVEL TO MOVIES: GONE GIRL

Director: David Fincher
Cast: Ben Affleck , Rosamund Pike , Neil Patrick Harris , Tyler Perry , Emily Ratajkowski , Boyd Holbrook , Patrick Fugit , Carrie Coon , Missi Pyle , Scoot McNairy , David Fincher
Plot: "Gone Girl" starts as the story of Nick and Amy Dunne's difficult marriage, which is floundering for several reasons. Nick, a former journalist, loses his job due to downsizing. In a somewhat desperate state of mind, he relocates himself and his wife from New York City to the small Midwestern town of North Carthage, Missouri, where Nick is from. On the day of Nick and Amy's fifth wedding anniversary, Amy goes missing. Nick eventually becomes a prime suspect in her disappearance for various reasons as mysterious clues start to emerge in the wake of Amy's disappearance.

My Movie Review: The movie is masterpiece, there's something brilliant about this I can't explain. Probably one of the best thriller movie I watched in cinemas, the dramatic story is so twisted but still believable and the actors were so compelling they could win an Oscars. Rosamund Pike gives me scares on how women think and frighten me about marriage. Ben Affleck and Neil Patrick Harris were so natural I don't know if they were acting or not. This movie shows how David Fincher's work are epic from now on I will watch his movies.
My Favorite Lines: "There's a difference between really loving someone and loving the idea of her." "My mother had always told her kids: if you're about to do something, and you want to know if it's a bad idea, imagine seeing it printed in the paper for all the world to see." "Sleep is like a cat: It only comes to you if you ignore it." "A lot of people lacked that gift: knowing when to fuck off."

Isla Pandan is named after its abundance in Pandan trees. It’s a private resort owned by a hotel in Puerto Princesa. The island also has a rich population of assorted fish roaming around the shore but not as good as Snake Island because of the sea plants.

My Movie Review: The movie is bloody good, shows your dark side isn't always bad. Dracula is one of the most recognizable characters I grew up with but this is the first time I really know his story. Luke Evans is very convincing, great portray on this character and becoming one of the best actors in this generation. The visual effects is nice, the bats and the marching band keeps me grasp for air and the modern twist at the end is really clever.
My Favorite Character: Count Dracula

Dracula is an 1897 Gothic horror novel by Irish author Bram Stoker. Famous for introducing the character of the vampire Count Dracula, the novel tells the story of Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England so he may find new blood and spread undead curse, and the battle between Dracula and a small group of men and women led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing.

Plot: A veteran covert operative who, seeking redemption for his dark deeds, quits an unnamed CIA-like agency often referred to simply as "The Agency" or "The Company" and puts a classified advertisement in the paper that reads simply: "Got a problem? My Movie Review: The movie is strong, unusual story with fascinating action scenes and little bit dark and mysterious. Denzel Washington got his grip back, believable acting and his commitment on having a good action movie is commendable. Chloë Grace Moretz adds up interesting modern vibe and feminine side to the story. The bad thing about the scenes were really stretch to the extent but the good thing is how the story puts together.
My Favorite Lines: "What do you see when you look at me?" "What do you see when you look at me?" "Got to be who you are in this world, no matter what." "I am offering you a chance to do the right thing. Take it." "What's your book about?" "It is about a guy who's a knight in shining armor except he lives in a world where knights don't exist anymore."

TRAVEL TO PLACES: PHILIPPINES TRICK ART MUSEUM

My Personal Experience: I went to Trick Art Museum last April 3, 2012, together with my sister. We went there to use the tickets my sister bought on-line and have fun time during our summer vacations. Trick Art Museum is located inside Manila Ocean Park on the second floor beside Seri-land, where we took lots of captivating pictures and ok moments.

Trick Art Museum
Miracle Art started in Korea as “trick art”, an art genre that leverages illusion through technique for the tens upon thousands of people who have since witnessed its magic. It is a complicated study in refraction and reflection, aided by a coat of special high-transparency paint to form a thin film that goes over a realistic picture. It’s a must-see both for kids and adults.

Plot: A supernatural thriller that addresses questions of life, love and belief against an apocalyptic backdrop. A group of close friends gather for a wedding, but the celebration is shattered by a series of cataclysmic events and enemies foretold by biblical end-times prophecies. My Movie Review: The movie is confusing, you don't know who's the lead character until you reach towards the end. The start is surprisingly good, nice calm vibe becomes an adrenaline rush when everything happened so fast that's nice. Towards the middle part it's slowly turns into draggy story and pointless but I don't regret watching it cause it's fun.
My Favorite Term: Apocalypse

Apocalypse is a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the mass of humankind. In English, the word apocalypse now commonly refers to the end of the world. The current meaning may be an ellipsis of the phrase apokalupsis eschaton (apocalyptic eschatology), meaning "revelation of knowledge of the end of time".

Source: http://movies.insing.com/movie/if-i-stay-2014/id-48e70000/

My Movie Review: The movie is heart warming, makes you appreciate how precious life is and every moments with your love ones cause you never know what's going to happened next. It is obvious that If I Stay is like the movie Ghost for teens but I compared it more on The Fault In Our Stars. Chloë Grace Moretz is on demand, lots of movie coming up but this movie gave her the spotlight. If I Stay so catchy makes it one of my new expressions.
My Favorite Lines: "You know how when you meet someone and they already are the person they're meant to be? That was Adam. Nobody outside of Portland had ever heard of his band but he already was somebody. Me, not so much. It's it amazing how life is one thing then in an instant it becomes something else? Like here I am, Mia, the girl who thinks about the cello and Adam just like that" "Here's the secret, baby. If you live, if you die, it's all up to you. So whatever fight you got in you, you gotta pull it out now."
