TRAVEL TO MOVIES: THE SNOWMAN

Director: Tomas Alfredson
Cast: Michael Fassbender , James D'Arcy , Val Kilmer , Rebecca Ferguson , Toby Jones , Charlotte Gainsbourg , J.K. Simmons , Chloë Sevigny , Jonas Karlsson , Genevieve O'Reilly
Plot: Detective Harry Hole investigates the disappearance of a woman in Oslo, where her pink scarf is found wrapped around an ominous-looking snowman. Fearing it could be the work of a serial killer, Detective Hole studies every clue left behind.

My Movie Review: The movie is less than expected the thrill was not there unlike in the trailer! The Snowman is one of the worst movie this year as it goes on turned to be short of suspense. Michael Fassbender is not to blame why the film sucks it's how the novel played out wrong into this adaption were the serial killer is not as frightening as it seems the kill scenes were cut-off:( It's odd to see this acclaimed detective story set in this icy scenic views fall flat it has so much potential to be great but chose to photograph snow rather than focus on the story construction. Rebecca Ferguson is mystery killed but Val Kilmer and J.K. Simmons role strangely unknown?

More Description: When an elite crime squad's lead detective investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter, he fears an elusive serial killer may be active again. With the help of a brilliant recruit, the cop must connect decades-old cold cases to the brutal new one if he hopes to outwit this unthinkable evil before the next snowfall. In the film, a sociopath who calls himself “The Snowman Killer” has targeted the one person for whom he wants to show off his methodical, unthinkable skills. With cunningly simplistic baits or sign such as “Mr. Policeman I gave you all the clues..” he begs to have a worthy opponent to play his sick game.

But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his fellow Avengers the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

My Movie Review: The movie is maximum action silly enjoyment with lot of striking character! Thor: Ragnarok is the best and funniest in the franchise such a smart move to cater audiences demand for entertainment done in spectacular visuals and vast story-line suited for all of ages:) The Incredible Hunk arrival in the arena is one of the highlights and it sure deliver some punch. While Hela the villain is looking fierce and tough with headpiece to die for and bad ass attitude! There's one kept down Loki his fun to hang around at times love the elevator scene with Thor:) Overall it succeeds in box office and critics reviews- Taika Waititi's direction is fresh and young!
My Favorite Character: The Grandmaster

The Grandmaster is the ruler of Sakaar who has fascination with gaming enjoys manipulating lesser life-forms in the Contest of Champions. When The Grandmaster took Thor as his new contenders, he was soon horrified to learn that Thor already knew his current champion, the Hulk. As The Grandmaster feared, Thor soon escaped Sakaar with the Hulk, resulting in a new uprising which resulted in Grandmaster losing his position over the people of Sakaar. His very eccentric, he is a hedonist, a pleasure-seeker, an enjoyer of life, as seen when Valkyrie tells that one of his ships is pleasure vehicle for orgies and enjoy dancing as his very skilled dancer.

Plot: While taking his son Troy on a college tour on the East Coast, an inner crisis is triggered in Brad. Throughout the tour, Brad can't help to compare his life with his four other college friends that he stumbles on Hollywood big shot, hedge fund founder, tech entrepreneur and bestselling author. He imagines their glamorous lives, he ponders if this is all that he will ever amount too?

My Movie Review: The movie is a reality check giving you harsh truth about life comparisons!! Brad Status is a social satire taking us to a journey about a middle-aged man having a mid-life crisis helping his son to find college school as he unravels about self worth if he done enough? Anyone can relate to Brad when your classmates have better life than you or better job status! At the end of the day it's about you do find purpose don't compare instead care friends matter:) Ben Stiller is good actor he makes you feel his anxiety as if it's real make us question our own but the end is bittersweet no resolution wish for better one leaving the cinema shock! and sad:(
My Favorite Lines: "At night my mind drifted back to college many friends who have become successful. Craig Fisher worked for the White House. Jason Hatfield had his own hedge fund. Billy Wearslter sold his tech company at 40. What I have? I work for a non-profit and nothing to show for it." "Suddenly my thoughts darkened, Troy could be easily end up struggling like me." "Sometimes I worry that people think of me as a failure. Everybody's just thinking about themselves. The only person that’s thinking about you is me." TRAVEL TO PLACES: THAILAND--- SIAM CENTER

My Personal Experience: I went to Thailand Siam Center this year August 28, 2017, together with my sister. We went there to find out what's inside in the cozy mall in their shopping district. Siam Center is one of the popular hangouts in Bangkok with the selection of quirky shops and fine restaurants in conventional style. TRAVEL TO MOVIES: HAPPY DEATH DAY

Director: Jason Blum
Cast: Jessica Rothe , Israel Broussard , Ruby Modine , Charles Aitken , Laura Clifton , Phi Vu
Plot: Tree Gelbman must relive the same day over and over again on her birthday and figure out who attempts to kill her at her party every time and why. She is killed at the end of each day by a serial killer with a smiling mask obscuring his features. Immediately upon dying she wakes up again in the morning, with full memory of what she's experienced.

My Movie Review: The movie is satisfying light enjoyable horror that's more funny than scary:) Happy Death Day is now my favorite slasher film to date every frame was presented properly the repeats were not dragging their exciting and fun something different happen to look ahead!! Jessica Rothe is a little bitchy in the start not typical from a lead but manage to get kinder as it progress towards the end she's lovable rooting for her to survive and find out her mystery killer. The soundtrack is hip and groovy it's a clever way to make the audience feel snappy and cool despite the bloody content in conclusion give us lessons to cherish no matter what next to us!?

Movie News: The mask was constructed by Tony Gardner, the same man who built the infamous "Ghostface" mask from every Scream film, and that its design was personal. Landon explains, "During pre-production I was expecting my first son. I don't know if I just had babies on the brain, or if I was scared to become a father, but when I wore the baby mask in the office, I scared a co-worker, and we thought this is the one." Inspired by films such as Groundhog Day, Scream (1996), Halloween (1978), Sixteen Candles, Back to the Future, The Goonies, Gremlins, A American Tale, Innerspace, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, Black Christmas and Heathers.

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: OVERDRIVE

Director: Antonio Negret
Cast: Scott Eastwood , Ana de Armas , Freddie Thorp , Gaia Weiss , Frédéric Anscombre , Clemens Schick , Simon Abkarian , Moussa Maaskri , Philippe Ohrel , Affif Ben Badra
Plot: Andrew and Garrett Foster, brothers and car thieves who specialise in luxury cars, journey to south France for new opportunities. They are hired to steal a beautiful Bugatti 1937, but they get caught. The owner of the Bugatti and local crime boss, Jacomo Morier, wants the brothers to steal a car from his arch-rival, Max Klemp, in exchange for their lives. But it`s not just any car they have to steal. Morier wants Klemp's most prized car, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO.

My Movie Review: The movie is average car heist thriller with lot of chasing that fun to watch!! Overdrive is a easy ride about two thief brothers who like to drive fast and love luxury cars that got involve with a mobster to steal the prize possession of the crime boss rival with some help!! Love the night parties and their making out I'll find it appealing I wish I can live that life one day. It may look small scale entertainment for some but it's just enough for me I like little adventures my kind of fun and everything nice to mention two beautiful ladies that add spark in the scenes. Scott Eastwood leads the cast in the high octane film set in ravishing location spots in Europe:)

More Description: Two-half brothers specialize in nabbing rare sports cars to order, tangle with ruthless Marseilles-based crime lord in this French-made English-language action thriller. Attractive young cast, wise-cracking dialogue and high-speed driving can make for a lucrative box-office combination, as the Fast and Furious franchise amply demonstrates, but this also-ran affair struggles to achieve the same winning combination with a clunky script, a marked shortage of adrenaline and decidedly wooden performers. All of which sets us up for much dreary exposition, sundry sunny Riviera locations and a roster of classic cars from Jaguar, Porsche or Ferrari, which display a good deal more charisma than anything else on big screen.

Plot: A man is sent to space to prevent climate-controlling satellites from creating a storm of epic proportions. Back on earth, his brother is plotting an assassination against the president.

My Movie Review: The movie is about weather disaster with use the of modern day satellites!! Geostorm is very impressive in special effects that's why I watched it this sci-fi action takes you in a easy to follow story and fun time than expected sitting in the cinema worth the ticket price:) Again another victim of low rating and negative reviews don't believe everything you see online sometimes you need to see it for yourself that is a decent film with enjoyable storm sequences! I've thought it's just about the climate change they have to face were there's monster tsunami, cold freezing people, hot heat waves, breaking of the land, striking lightning and thunder volts!! It's surprising to see there's more story than meets the eye like the political powers and family:)

More Description: When catastrophic climate change endangers Earth's very survival, world governments create- Dutch Boy Program: worldwide net of satellites, surrounding the planet, that are armed with geoengineering technologies designed to stave off the natural disasters. Plot: Thirty years after the events of the first film, Officer K, a new blade runner for the Los Angeles Police Department, uncovers a long-buried secret that is potentially able to plunge what is left of society into chaos. With his discovery, K decides to go on a quest in search of a former blade runner who has been missing for 30 years, Rick Deckard.

My Movie Review: The movie is masterful and divine in both creating story and futuristic ideas expressed on visually stunning shots and unpredictable world that keep us guessing what is it? Blade Runner 2049 is distinct putting unfamiliar elements and non related sequences together that somehow work and giving more mystery as progress leave us confused still wanting more! The pace maybe issue for some but made me well rested most in those gloomy atmosphere:} Ryan Gosling is not my favorite actor I don't get his acting but this time the role fits him so well. The fight scenes are the best like last act water drowning and glass breaking scene were epic:)
My Favorite Term: Wallace Corporation

Wallace Corporation is the second most recent manufacturer of the Nexus line of replicants, the successor to Tyrell Corporation, the manufacturer of the original Nexus replicants. Wallace Corporation acquire the remnants of Tyrell Corporation give control of the replicant technology and the business records. Tyrell Corporation was effectively disbanded following an uprising of replicants, culminating in the Blackout of 2022. A period of prohibition followed until sometime after 2036: Nexus Dawn, when the founder of Wallace Corporation, Niander Wallace, was able to convince the government that advances in the control of replicants, coupled with existential need to colonize new worlds, made the reintroduction of replicant are both safe and necessary.
